Cooled Down

When I first came to learn
That You are coming back again
Again for the second time
I got excited, seems I cannot wait
My heart was beating with eagerness
Eagerness to see You as soon as possible

I prayed for You coming down from heaven
I prayed for me, being taken without a trace
And You heard my plead
You answered my prayer
You cooled down the big fire in my heart
Into a flaming desire

Through Your holy word
You taught me, You talked to me
That what I felt wasn't wrong
But the time isn't full yet
I realized it was selfishness
I am confident, but how about them?

For You are patient to Your people
And I am trusting Your perfect time
For You are waiting for them to turn back
And so I must wait too

Not only shall I wait
Let Your spirit work inside me
A courageous heart to speak
Faith and love be reflected from the inside out

Cooled down from a big fire to see Your face
To witness You coming down
Cooled down into desire of seeing them
Turning their backs
Witnessing the changes You made in their hearts
And being confident that I will see them in heaven
