The Reality That I Saw

Seems like God is wanting me to write this, as I am seeing and hearing stories of like this. It saddens me, honestly, but God is so sovereign that He won’t let things to go on without equal effect. He said, He did not let His words go and return to Him without accomplishing what His words needed to fulfill (Isaiah 55:11).

Idolatry is a sin people or Christians seem to be blinded by.  Growing in a Christian country who believes that Jesus was born, died and resurrected for humanity’s sin, entrapped with traditions and cultures, I can say that idolatry is simply worshipping and giving their gratitude unto those images, unto those followers who left a legacy of faith.

But, idolatry is broader than it seems to be. I confessed, idolatry has been my greatest sin before I came to the saving knowledge and faith of Jesus. I took God for granted, that unknowingly I was making my own character and personalities of God that fits my need. I had my own idea of who God really is, and I came to worship that wrong god. Thank God for He corrected me, He rebuked me, because He loves me, and it is not His will for me to keep on sinning. I owe everything to my God, to this real God; I worship.

That is the common mistake people and believers are making in this place, in this time, in this generation. (Sorry for the readers, for I might be using harsh words.) They are taking God for granted. They take what seems to be fitting to their need. They obey what law seems to be fitting their lifestyle. They take some and mix it with the pattern of this world. They reasoned; they pardoned themselves; they think that to God it is still fine. I mean:  World, where is God’s grace in your lives? I do not want to ask or question but I cannot help, are they really filled with the Holy Spirit or are they just fooling themselves.

They come to know to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. They believe that Jesus died for their sin. They worship God and listen to preaching on Sundays, but from Mondays to Fridays they forget all about it. They are Jesus’ fans, not followers. Sad but true. Offensive but that’s the reality.
