Everyday I am

Now that I am who I am today
Now that there's I was
I became aware, really aware
That everyday I am a sinner

Not every thought is wrong
And to know the difference is not easy
Not every feeling is negative
And if ever it is, roots are selfishness and pride
Not every word is filthy
But it's the tongue that's difficult to tame
Not every action is spontaneous
But sometimes, it seems like it has mind of its own

Now that I am who I wasn't yesterday
Now that big change brought by grace came in to my life
I realized nothing is mine
And everyday I am thankful

Knowing that the truth is fact
Believing the truth is faith
Living in this century
Where written testimonies were true lives
It's easier for the foundation of my belief
To be supported by the existence and guarantee of His words

Everyday I am a sinner
And I try harder each day
Everyday I am thankful
For so many things and one thing
And that makes my stay a worthwhile.
