“Strength will rise as we wait
upon the Lord” the song goes..
“But they, who wait for the Lord,
shall renew their strength, they shall rise on wings like eagle, they shall run
and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint” the Word says in the book of
Isaiah.
. . .
Aside from my Bible, I brought
one book to read during my spare time. Well, I think I had a spare time today
and I held it, I held the book. I flipped through the pages, scanned the table
of contents, and read a random paragraph or two. While experiencing the book
for a moment, I was asking myself, do I still really need to finish reading
this book? Because, honestly, I think, I need only the Bible to get to know
God’s message, and His Holy Spirit that will teach me the meaning of what I
read about. But the book might help as well.
I bought this book maybe a year
ago or few months back. That time I was really looking for guidance, and seeking
additional knowledge. I was doubtful about myself and my confidence was
wavering. That time, I was not utilizing the real power of Spirit. But as days,
weeks and months passed, God is really faithful in teaching me, for every time
I ask something about a particular thing, He will answer me, maybe not right
away, for He is checking my patience, but really, He do answers. He never and
won’t leave any question unanswered. At the right place, time and situation,
God will speak.
God’s will versus freewill. I was
seeking God’s will that I was willing to give up my freewill, that I almost forgot
that this freewill was a gift from Him, that without the freewill, life is not
life at all. Freewill is one of the secondary ingredients of how we should
enjoy and live our lives to the fullest, as He promised.
I once read from a Facebook
friend’s status, “If God’s will is our aim, why freewill seems to be
difficult?” (Before you precede reading, ponder.)
God did not make freewill to be
difficult. And obeying God and being in line with His plan in our lives need
not to be a challenge. It may not be easy at first, but it is not impossible to
be in line with Him. God gave us the grace to act upon what He requires us to
do, and even those things that He requires of us are not secret, it was
written, it has been revealed.
Practice your freewill while
being in line with God’s will. You know what is right and wrong. God gave you
the wisdom and the grace to know the difference, and if in case you are
perplexed, ask God for clarification, ask God with faith that He will give you
the clarification you asked for. Practice your freewill while committing every
plans and decisions you are going to make. And as He promised, He himself will
establish your plans (Proverbs 16:3), He himself will direct your steps
(Proverbs 16:9).
