Correct me if I am wrong..
Sometimes it's our own action and choice that will unlock God's provision of every kind.
God provides the best ingredients for the recipe of our character. God provides us more than we can think we need and want. Financial, health, love, wisdom, knowledge, kindness, etc. And having the faith that God provides all of these and more than these, i believe requires some action on our part. We should act according to our faith and to the grace He, our God, is giving us.
There are points in the situations in our lives that we need to give up and let and wait God to move. But there are also points that God is requiring us to act to a specific situation, to try our faith and to prove His might. We know, we believe that our God is mighty and great, and there is no question to that.
Imagine this: It was God's will for David to defeat the giant Goliath. But would David be able to defeat the giant, if he did not come to the battle field? David believed that God was with him, and so he act according to that faith.
One more: We know that Esther was favored by King Xerxes because she was favored by God. But would God's favor to Esther would be of effect once more if she did not dare to see and ask the king for her (and Israelites') situation and request? Esther believed and commit her plans to the Lord, and act according to her faith, and believed that whatever happens it was God's will.
Can you see the picture? God did not command David to volunteer to fight Goliath. God did not command Esther to fast and see the king.
These were two different situation and character, but boils down to one calling: believe and have faith, then act according to that faith and to His grace, and know and expect that whatever happens or the result is, it is God's will.
